Terilee Dawn

It is hard to think of a way to describe myself so that you can get to know me better. I love having a blog because it is a place for me to show my most current work and at the same time post random things about my life. I have a deep passion for life and it is my goal to live it to the fullest. That may sound kind of cliche but it is so true. I love adventures, and people, and photography is an avenue for me to experience both in a fun artist way. Photography is an outpour of what I see and how I view life. It allows me to capture those sweet moments in life in a way that when I look back at the images I can remember how it felt to experience that moment. That is why I love my job, I get to capture pure moments for people that they will always get to take with them. I hope you will stay a while and look through my blog and get inspired.

Finao Scavenger Hunt

Three of my really good friends and I spent last week in Vegas at a WPPI – Wedding & Portrait Photographers International trade show and conference. When I first started doing my Terilee’s Tuesday I said that eventually I would post a blog on my bucket list in life. I don’t have that list yet but I think our scavenger hunt would be something that I would put on it. The album company Finao that I print through decided to do a scavenger hunt with some amazing prizes. The four of us decided we would attempt to do it in hopes of winning. It was stressful, annoying, and so fun all at once. It was a lot of work but now as I look back and watch our little presentation that we put together I only remember the good parts, the parts the had me bent over laughing, the photos with of me with awesome friends, and the unexpected. I have no idea if we will win there are some pretty talented people out there that have some top notched slide shows of their scavenger hunt. I would love to win, it would be amazing, but if we don’t that is OK. It is OK because I realize that I did something that I normally wouldn’t ever do. I usually am not up for competitions and this was a challenging one. We had to go out of our way to do crazy things in public with lots of people watching. It caused us to step out of our comfort zones and in the end be ourselves to the public. It made me realize it doesn’t matter what people think, if you are being yourself you are being your best. Maybe this doesn’t make sense to anyone but to me it does. It was hard, it was annoying, it was sooooo fun. I love that we decided to do it and didn’t give up. It was ridiculous running around trying to finish all the clues and go to classes and the trade shows but it was a good excuse to get dressed up and be silly and carefree. Ok now for the slide show. Please disregard the “bronze butts” it was part of the scavenger hunt. And major kudos go to Sophy for her Elton John impersonation, she truly went out on a limb to do that. Thank you Vicki, Sophia, & Carla for some great times. Enjoy!
